Oval ring for SRAM 8-bolt cranks. The elliptical shape smooths out the dead spot in your pedal stroke, which you notice most on long grinding climbs.
Wolf Tooth part OVAL-SDM8-38. 38t, 6mm offset, Drop-Stop B.
Compatibility: Drop-Stop B works with 10 and 11-speed, SRAM 12-speed Eagle, and Flattop / Transmission. Not for Shimano 12-speed HG+.
The 6mm offset is the gravel and road side of this family. The 3mm offset version is the mountain one.
